LIVINGSTON, MT - Kenneth Arthur MacAskill passed away at home on June 10, 2011, with his wife Kathryn by his side. Kenneth was born in Boise, Idaho, on March 21, 1924. He was a veteran, serving in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He married Kathryn on Nov. 1, 1947, and moved to Montana where he lived until his passing. Kenneth was a resident of Livingston since 1961 where he worked as a machinist for the railroad until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life. After his retirement he returned to one of his passions, playing the fiddle. He enjoyed old-time fiddle, playing the remainder of his life.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Kathryn, sons Steven and Donald, daughter Kathy and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kenneth was a believer in Jesus Christ throughout his life, being baptized at age 7 and confirmed at age 22. His strong faith sustained him throughout his life, and he passed from this life assured that Heaven was his next stop.
His memorial service will be on Wednesday, June 15, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Livingston followed by a military honors service at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 327 S. 12th St., Livingston, MT 59047.

Note: He spent his boyhood in Pearl and Emmett, graduating from Emmett High School in 1925.
