Mrs. Bessie Walker (1900 - 1956)

EMMETT (Special) —Bessie May Walker, 55, died Saturday in a local hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Walker was born Aug. 14, 190, in Bates Hole, Wyo., and came here in 1905 with her parents. She moved to Weiser in 1913 and was married to James A. Walker in Ontario in 1915. They moved to Gross, Idaho, and then came here in 1936. She was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Charles of Riggins, George of LaGrande, Ore., Ralph of Emmett, and James Walker, Weedheights, Nev., one brother, Charles Patterson, Emmett, and a sister, Mrs. George Walker, Ola, and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Beatty chapel with the Rev. Donald Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at Riverside.
