R. A. McCool (1852 - 1918)

May 23, 1918, Index

R. A. McCool, well known South Slope farmer and fruit raiser, died last night at his home. He suffered a slight paralytic stroke about 10 days ago, which gradually extended to his entire body, resulting in his death. He was one of the old time residents of this section, having homesteaded his present farm 18 years ago and was highly respected. He was born December 8, 1852, near Allegheny, Pa. His marriage took place in Nebraska, where he lived for many years, coming to Emmett from that state in 1900. A wife and eight children survive him, six boys and two girls. One of the boys, Harold, is serving his country in the navy, and Bartlett, who has been working in Montana, came home when notified of his father's illness. The funeral services will be held at the home Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
