Frank Moody Gross

(1906 - 1988)

NEW PLYMOUTH — Frank Moody Gross, 82, of New Plymouth, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1988, in an Ontario (Ore.) hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. Rev. Russell Steiner of the First Baptist Church, New Plymouth, will officiate, under direction of the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth.

Mr. Gross was born Jan. 14, 1996, at Ola, Idaho, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Gross: He was raised and educated in Ola, and worked on a ranch there until 1942. He moved to Orofino in 1943, then to Ahsahka, Idaho, in 1944, He worked in the woods at Orofino and Ahsalika as a logger. He moved to New Plymouth in the fall of 1945, working there as a farmer, and also at the Emmett mill. He married Myrtle Hinkley on July 25, 1933, at Emmett.

Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and being with his Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; three sons, Clyde and Carl, both of New Plymouth, and John of Meridian; two daughters, Yvonne Young of New Plymouth and Dorothy Williams of Nyssa, Ore.; a sister, Janie Kimball of Emmett; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
