Squaw Butte from Cascade Rd

Squaw Butte at 5906 feet stands about 3550 feet above the Payette River valley and is visible for miles. According to local folklore, the image of a sleeping Indian woman can be seen in the outline. Flat-topped Little Butte stands to the right.
